Cray at SC18

HPC inspires at the SC18 conference this November in Dallas, Texas at booth #2413. Join Cray to hear about advances in high-performance computing technology and the amazing things the supercomputing giant’s customers are doing.

Also, here is an extensive list of technical sessions and presentations Cray is taking part in during SC18. You can also tune in the SC News Desk live during the show at 1:00 on Wednesday for an in-depth interview with The Next Platform’s Timothy Prickett Morgan and Cray’s interconnect pioneer, Steve Scott.

Mellanox at SC18

Mellanox is leading industry innovation by providing the highest throughput and lowest latency HDR 200Gb/s InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions available today, with a clear roadmap for tomorrow.

Please visit Mellanox Technologies in booth #3207 to see the latest in our industry-leading HDR 200Gb/s InfiniBand and Spectrum Ethernet solutions, and see how Mellanox is already paving the way to Exascale.

We also invite you to take part in the Mellanox Theater presentations, where you will learn from leading server and storage OEMs, ISVs, end-users and academia, who will provide insight to the benefits of using the world’s leading ultra-low latency, smart interconnect technology from Mellanox Technologies.

DDN at SC18

Highlighting its long-standing record of HPC leadership and innovation, DDN will be showcasing new innovations at SC18 that are optimized for HPC, AI and hybrid cloud. Designed, optimized and right-sized for commercial HPC, AI, deep learning, and exascale computing, DDN’s new products and solutions are fully integrated for any data-at-scale need.

DDN will feature and demonstrate new advancements in block and file storage, scale-out SSD and NVMe, and solutions fully integrated and optimized for AI and DL workloads. These solutions include DDN’s new SFA18K® – the world’s fastest and most scalable hybrid storage solution that accelerates processors, embeds file systems and optimizes containers; the DDN A³I® with NVIDIA DGX-1™ solution that accelerates AI workloads; the market-leading ES7990™ and GS7990™ integrated file system solutions; IME® enhancements that deliver the fastest SSD and NVMe scale-out, flash-native data cache; and DDN® DataFlow™ that performs backup, migration, and archiving at-scale, from a single pane of glass. Join DDN at its booth #3213 to watch presentations by customers, partners and technology experts and at its legendary SC party at Reunion Tower on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.

Panasas at SC18

Panasas says it will make its most significant product announcement in a decade at SC18, featuring a completely reengineered, portable parallel filesystem running on industry standard commodity hardware. The new appliance delivers 75GB/s performance per rack with the industry’s lowest administrative overhead and cost. Panasas says its new portable PanFS filesystem was designed to address both current and future applications and workloads such as AI, Autonomous Vehicles and Precision Medicine. A live demonstration of the new product can be seen in Panasas booth 1613 in Hall D.

Dell at SC18

Get revvved up with Dell EMC for Financial Services, Research, AI and more in booth #3218. Start your accelerator engines. With the ability to program and re-program the hardware, Xilinx Alveo FPGAs can provide real-time inference throughput by 20x versus high-end CPUs alone, and more than 4x for sub-two-millisecond low-latency applications versus high-end GPUs. Inside Dell EMC PowerEdge servers, you can also get extra horsepower for AI at the edge with Intel Arria 10 GX FPGAs + OpenVINO. NVIDIA Tesla T4 GPUs shine with 320 Turing Tensor Cores and 2,560 CUDA® cores for 65 teraflops of peak performance for FP16, 130 TOPS for INT8 and 260 TOPS for INT4.

Then, let your engines cool down with CoolIT liquid-cooling in the PowerEdge C6420 server. And shocker! See how you can set up a data scientist environment in just 5 clicks with the new Dell EMC Data Science Provisioning Portal. Whaaaaaat?! Yes, The Dell EMC HPC and AI Innovation Lab engineers are always looking for ways to make AI and HPC easier. Hope to see you Vroom in Dell EMC booth #3218.

Igneous at SC18

Igneous delivers the only Unstructured Data Management (UDM) as-a-Service solution, enabling data-centric enterprises with visibility, protection and data mobility at scale, wherever datasets and workflows live. Igneous combines all UDM functions into a single, API-enabled, cloud native solution so organizations can see, protect, analyze and act on all unstructured data assets to accelerate data usage and organizational value.

In a new study from IgneousThe State of Unstructured Data Management Report, shows that North America’s data-centric enterprises are working with massive, difficult-to-manage volumes of unstructured data. Most (59 percent) of the respondents report managing more than 10 billion files, with an average annual growth rate of 23 percent. The research found that these enterprises are indeed struggling to effectively manage today’s influx of machine- and human-generated unstructured data. That’s where Igneous can help. Igneous: The right data, in the right place, at the right time. Find out more at booth # 4244 or igneous.io.
